In the academic annals of India, Annamalai University located on a sprawling 950 acre campus in Chidambaram in Tamil Nadu, enjoys a haloed place. With a glorious history spanning over 90 years in the field of Education, it has about a dozen faculties and 49 departments of study. This pioneering University is credited with some of the best names in Arts, Science, Economics, Engineering and Technology, Agriculture, Marine Biology, Medicine and Dentistry, Physical Education, Pharmacy. It has produced well over 100,000 Engineers since the inception of the Engineering faculty in 1945. The University has an 'A' Grade Accreditation by NAAC.

With a mission to give back to its Alma Mater and the society at large, the Annamalai Alumni Business Networking (AABN) Group was formed. The AABN Group began as a small rivulet of learning in January 2021 is today a robust river of education spread by Entrepreneurs / Professional from all disciplines. Riding the crest of a Entrepreneur wave when the sentiment of marketman was at its low ebb, we have created new patterns on its growth curve in a short span of time with strong fundamentals. We are moving to yet another exciting phase in Business Networking. The theme of AABN is "Connecting our Alumni Globally for Entrepreneurship".

As part of the on-going effort to think Global while focusing on the local, AABN Group was formed. The spotlight has been on entrepreneurship. With Alumni from across the Globe participating, sharing idea and networking with experts from various field, this has become a tremendously rewarding group.

The major objective of AABN is to promote Business and Trade amongst the Community. At AABN, we, through a set of pro-active business-oriented initiatives

• promote trade, investment and technology transfer
• facilitate business collaboration, joint ventures, marketing tie-ups and strategic alliance

AABN acts as a catalyst for sustainable growth of Business amongst the Community. At AABN we continuously interact with our members and provide them feedback on issues relating to trade and investments. AABN member companies are involved in cross-section of Business domains such as Manufacturing, Engineering, Construction, Consumer Goods, Electronics, IT, Pharmaceuticals, Agriculture, Consulting among others.

In the backdrop of AABN team building and creating confidence amongst entrepreneurs in changing market access and context, a few things standout as guided by a finely honed invitation for further development. In brief a greater integration is needed between Engineering, Marketing Skills etc., allied to the new growth strategy. Against this setting, the establishment of AABN Chapters in Pondicherry, Coimbatore, Madurai, Tiruchirappalli, and Bangalore is a pioneering attempt, as it would encompass ideas from different spheres of life, packaged in a viable form by prospective entrepreneurs. This product will not only address a visible whole in the entrepreneurs-fulfillment cycle that brings in a new thought process of how to look at a change in the context of entrepreneur’s upgradation, role in growth and vice-versa.

AABN as a Pathfinder

At the core of AABN work is the philosophy 'Connect Today, Change Tomorrow'. Looking ahead, AABN will develop a strategic plan to focus on Entrepreneurs, current students as well as its members. With over 50% of its members being entrepreneurs, it hopes to better serve entrepreneurs and the students by fostering a dynamic and mutually beneficial networking system. By strengthening connectivity, it only helps evolve a credible, independent, and collaborative voice for the Alma Mater. The idea is to take AABN beyond the frontiers of nostalgia, draw from its diverse resources and nurture a vibrant global community of learners and trailblazers.
